Maxi Blaha was born in Vienna (Austrian and Australian citizen), studied Music and Art at the Vienna University of Performing Arts and the Mozarteum University in Salzburg. She took singing training with Klaus Ofczarek and Althea Bridges and worked with Robert Lewis in New York. Company Member at the Vienna Burgtheater. Lead engagements at the theatres of Coburg, Tuebingen in Germany, Vienna, Linz and leading part at the “Purim Spil” (European Cultural Capital). Her English solo pieces were invited to renowned festivals and theatres in New York, London, Paris, Sydney, Auckland, Teheran, Rome, Oslo, Tokio. Blaha has currently finished shooting the film adaption of Arthur Miller’s last short story “The Performance” directed by Shira Piven. Her Solo piece about the Austrian Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Bertha von Suttner led her all around the world.
